Throughout the 12 years of A Padaria Portuguesa, hundreds of customers have expressed their desire to have our divine Pão de Deus available in the north of the country as well. Well, the wait is over. In Foz do Douro, Porto, a new Padaria Portuguesa has opened – and with it, new products exclusive to the region have been introduced.
More and more, we are becoming the bakery for all Portuguese people. After opening our first stores outside the Lisbon district, in Almada and Setúbal, we have now arrived in the beautiful city of Porto – “finally”, as many of our customers would say. The first A Padaria Portuguesa store in Porto – and the 60th in the country – was inaugurated on January 13th, at Avenida do Brasil, nº17, in the Foz area.
To ensure maximum quality and freshness every day, we also opened a new local factory, which will supply the stores in the city of Porto. It is in this factory that our bakers and pastry chefs daily prepare regueifa, pão bijou, jesuíta, lanche misto, lanche de cogumelos ostra NÃM, and miniatures of napoleão, bola de berlim, pastel de nata, and Pão de Deus – products specially developed for customers in this region.
The Foz store was the first to open in Porto, but not the only one. On January 25th and February 22nd, respectively, we also inaugurated a bakery in Antas, at Rua Professor Bento de Jesus Caraça, nº235, one in Bom Sucesso, at Rua Gonçalo Sampaio, nº395, and one in Matosinhos, at Av. da República, nº44. All four stores are open every day, from 7 AM to 8 PM.
